Legal stuff is often daunting and like Tony Hsieh once mentioned when his company was acquired, and we are crudely paraphrasing here because we don’t pretend to be anywhere near as awesome as Zappos or Amazon, but sometimes the rules require that we talk like a lawyer. We are trying to make a living here, as are many of you, and so we need to say a few things to be clear.

Not sure what an expert is and we are always learning: we don’t profess to know everything, so we do the what time and circumstances allow to present the information as we determine at the time, sometimes with seemingly random inputs. The data leads to advice that is just our opinion and needs to be taken with a grain of salt, which is another way of saying you need to factor in everything else you know about a situation, and add in risks that you may or may not know, then make your OWN decisions. We don’t offer any express or implied direction.

Back to the expert idea, or the idea of what is an “expert”, we cannot assure or guarantee anything. Life is at the very least, quirky, if not unpredictable. We have only the knowledge and experience we have acquired. We sometimes can’t share details because of agreements we have signed or promises we’ve made. And we can’t therefore share everything we know.

Any advice, express or implied, is provided on an as-is basis and is not to be used to fuel any decisions. You need to make any decisions for you, your team, or your company on your own.
